RISE

R.I.S.E. (formerly LWCC Prison Ministry) captures Dr. Winston’s vision to “…build the ruined places and plant the which was desolate…” according to Ezekiel 36:33. The goal is the eradication of poverty and violence. Accordingly R.I.S.E.’s mission is to restore value, self-worth, and hope to the people and the community using employment, education, entrepreneurship as tools for developing self-sufficiency. Also R.I.S.E. reentry services champion Dr. Winston’s vision to turn “jails into boarding schools.” As such, R.I.S.E.’s model sees reentry beginning pre-release; where our educational offering spark a continuum of change that continues post-release.
